A traditional manor house, Quinta Nova is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Douro Valley, amongst 120 hectares of established vines and with stunning views across the hills and the river below. With a number of wine experiences, and various walking trails taking you from the hotel through vineyards and fruit orchards, Quinta Nova offers a relaxing stay in authentic surroundings.

The 11 rooms are traditionally furnished, the dark wood of the beds contrasting with crisp white Portuguese linen, with soft rugs laid across the wooden floors. With views over the vineyard and river, they are a welcoming place to relax with a glass of local wine. Outside, the whitewashed walls are heavy with scented flowers, providing a scenic backdrop to the various outdoor seating areas, including the serene terrace and winter garden.

Overlooking the vineyard-studded hills, the outdoor pool is a delightful spot to unwind and soak in the tranquillity of the valley. The restaurant offers delicious meals created from locally sourced, sustainable ingredients and eaten on the terrace with its panoramic views.

Making the most of the setting, activities focus on the traditional winery and the surrounding landscape, with wine tastings, tours, and even a chance to make your own wine. With 8km of walking and biking trails, as well as boat, train and helicopter experiences, there is plenty to occupy guests directly from this charming hotel.
