Highlights
Beautiful riad close to the souks and monuments of this fascinating city
Each room lovingly designed and decorated in a different style
The roof terrace boasts panoramic views over the city
The riad has a lovely lounge for unwinding with a book and a mint tea after a day's sightseeing
Located near the Andalous Quarter of central Fes, Karawan Riad is a fantastic base to discover this fascinating city.
Karawan's French owners have spent the last years lovingly restoring the riad and furnishing the seven suites with carefully chosen antiques and works of art collected on their travels around Africa. The style reflects the days of the caravans which crossed Morocco in days of old, laden with spices and silks. However, now instead of traders pausing during their voyage, it’s an elegant resting place of lovers of design, culture, and luxury.
Arriving at Karawan Riad guests cannot fail to be impressed by the elegant and beautifully restored 17th century courtyard around which the suites and public areas are located. As is the tradition in Fes, the courtyard is open to the blue skies above and decorated with a traditional marble fountain. As first floor rooms always tend to be the most popular in traditional riads, Karawan has the restaurant, hammam, spa and library on the ground floor with all the suites above, offering views into the central courtyard.
