Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

The only time to avoid Kenya is during the long rainy season in April and May. November is considered the short rainy season, however, these are less predictable and are much lighter. The best time of year to visit the Maasai Mara is during the Great Wildebeest Migration which tends to pass through the Mara between mid July to late October.

To start planning your vacation to Naboisho Camp

Naboisho Camp is a small camp with just eight tented rooms, located in the game rich Naboisho Conservancy area adjacent to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. A perfect place to witness the great wildebeest migration while staying in an authentic bush camp.

Naboisho Camp is situated in the Naboisho Conservancy (a 50,000 acre area) that lies to the far east of the Mara/Serengeti eco-system - an area almost half the size of the Maasai Mara reserve. The camp is set amongst the trees and rocky outcrops, with stunning views out to the plains.

The Mara Naboisho Conservancy is one of the most unspoiled and game rich areas in Kenya. ‘Naboisho’ means ‘coming together’ in local Maasai language. And rightfully so; the Mara Naboisho Conservancy is where tourism successfully meets spectacular wildlife and the great warrior tribes.

Naboisho is a permanent camp, but leaving the smallest footprint possible. However, there is no compromise on comfort. The eight comfortable tents have a traditional bush style with a fresh modern feel. There are en-suite bathrooms to the tents with flush loos, running water and bucket showers.

Naboisho camp prides themselves on a high level of service with a warm and friendly atmosphere and great food. The Camp is run by a management that gives priority to conservation and environment and you can see this throughout the entire set up. The conservancy was the first in Kenya to provide direct income to individual Maasai landowners, each getting a monthly income dependent on how much land they contributed. You can stay here safe in the knowledge that you are helping to aid both the community and the wildlife conservation project.
