Kiangazi House is set amongst beautiful lush gardens and tended lawns, this five-bedroom homestead has truly breathtaking views over Lake Naivasha and unspoiled Africa. Kiangazi House has access to Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary for some great game viewing.

Built in the old traditional style of local stone and timber, Kiangazi House has three double en-suite bedrooms within the main house and two further double en-suite bedrooms just beyond the swimming pool. Perfect for hosting, the house boasts a sitting room, dining room, bar and library.

Kiangazi House has panoramic views across the Great Rift Valley and the shimmering waters of Lake Naivasha. Kiangazi House lies in the Oserian Wildlife Corridor connecting the lake shore and surroundings with Hells Gate National Park and Maasai land beyond. Adjacent to the corridor is the 20,000-acre Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary complete with a fascinating diversity of wildlife including rhino, leopard, cheetah, Grevy’s zebra, giraffe, greater kudu and hyena.

Sweeping views from the veranda have changed little from the bygone days of the early pioneers who settled in this area at the turn of the century. Below the house, guests can explore the lake shore with its masses of water birds including pelicans and flamingos as well as game drive in the yellow barked acacia forests looking for leopards seeking out their wary antelope prey. With inviting waterholes below the main house it’s possible to view a procession of thirsty big game at close quarters.

Trained chefs prepare international cuisine and appetising breakfasts and lunches which are often taken outside in the lush gardens or on the expansive veranda. Game drives and sundowners in the Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary can be organized and you can also drive or walk along the beautiful lake shore.

Kiangazi House is a favorite weekend getaway for Nairobi's elite and where you'll catch embassy and United Nations staff relaxing on the deep veranda. A guard salutes you as you drive through the gate to this pretty throwback to an era synonymous with gracious hospitality. The five simple, spacious guestrooms are comfortable, if not necessarily luxurious - you'll probably find yourself spending most of your time here relaxing by the pool or at the bar, or reclining under shade at the edge of the lawn watching baboons romping on the lawn and animals drinking at one of the waterholes. However, it's the proximity of a wildlife corridor, connecting the lake with Hell's Gate National Park and distant Maasailand, that makes this an attractive base. The corridor sits adjacent to the 8,080-hectare (20,000-acre) Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary, which protects a diversity of animals, including rhino, leopard, cheetah, hyena, and a great many antelope -- guests have direct access.
