Rarely does a family carry only one story back to Ireland. More often there are two, sometimes from neighboring counties, sometimes from towns an afternoon's drive apart, each with its own name, its own parish, its own reason for leaving. Ireland Origins follows both at once, rather than asking you to choose between them.
Two ancestral lines are opened as two separate investigations, run in parallel by a genealogist working from whatever you already know: two surnames, a county on each side, or simply the sense that Ireland runs through the whole family rather than half of it. Each line is traced independently through parish registers, land records and archives that hold what no database does, typically three generations back on both sides. They rarely mirror each other. One might lead to a quiet farming parish in Mayo, the other to a merchant family in Waterford, or to a name that crossed the Atlantic and returned a generation later. Both receive the same scrutiny, every detail checked before it reaches you.
The findings arrive together in one comprehensive narrative report: the people, the places, the surviving records, and two family trees giving shape to names that may have only ever existed as fragments. Your vacation is then built to move between both stories rather than favour one, a graveyard on one side, a parish church on the other, so your time in Ireland reflects the whole of where you come from rather than a single half of it.
Both stories are bound into one hardbound Keepsake Book, with a digital copy for family on either side to keep. The regions you visit, the houses you stay in and the shape of your days are drawn from both lines equally, rather than built around one at the expense of the other.
For those who want the research brought to life on the ground, an Ancestry Walkthrough at the start of your vacation and a Mid-Trip Heritage Connection at a site significant to one of your family's lines can both be arranged, subject to availability.
Two families, two counties, followed with equal care, and brought home to one vacation.
