Canavaes Oia Epitome is an all-villa luxury resort located just outside the main town, Ammoudi. The contemporary design captures the dusky hues of the surrounding volcanic landscape combining natural materials and modern furnishings, all merging to create a tranquil environment with chic barefoot luxury at its core. The volcanic black stone walls are a unique feature lining the resort with flowering shrubs leading to light filled communal spaces high with white walls hung with the work of local artists, wood, bamboo, wicker and cane furnishings.
The facilities are second to none with a breath-taking heated infinity pool, along with shallow children’s area, offering some of the best views on the island. Many luxurious sunbeds line the stone deck around the pool, poised for relaxing, sipping cocktails and tucking into a good book. The restaurant and bar are built in an L shape to give privacy to the sea-view infinity pool. At the recently awarded Elements Restaurant & Bar, local gastronomy scene is taken to the next level. Executive Chef Tassos Stefatos is creating a prolific and sophisticated menu of modern European cuisine with Greek touches. The restaurant offers two tasting menus where the chef highlights their inventive cuisine. Devour a sumptuous dinner on the candle lit outdoor terrace with impeccable sunset views.
All the spacious villas are sunset facing with either full or partial sea views and have heated pools or plunge pools and terraces. Beds are king-sized, along with iPod docks, Nespresso machines and complimentary wine and fruit upon arrival. With many two and three bed villa options making it a perfect choice for families to spread out. Close to the pretty fishing village of Ammoudi, just 300 steps below the beautiful town of Oia, you will find many a fish taverna to sample, soaking of the buzz of the harbor bathed in the glow of the setting sun. The hotel shuttle bus will take you to the town of Oia with the morning and evening being the quietest.
