Les Fermes de Marie
  • An Alpine-chic property located in the beautiful French resort of Megève. It's just a 5 minute stroll to the center of the village but the hotel offers the feel of a real ski retreat.

  • Excellent facilities for families including a children's concierge and kids' club with a myriad of activities indoors and out including arts and crafts, cooking and nature hikes to name but a few.

  • Part of the Maisons & Hotels Sibuet, a family run group of properties in France. Mr and Mme Sibuet dismantled and transferred the centuries-old nine wooden chalets and pasture huts from other areas of the Savoie to Megeve to create something unique here.

  • Dining options are many and varied here with a real focus on local produce. Try the traditional fondue, intimate Salle à Manger dedicated to black truffles or take a 20 minute snowshoe walk to the hotel's mountain hut for a more experiential dinner.

As part of the family owned Sibuet Maisons & Hotels group, Les Fermes de Marie is more like a hamlet than a hotel, with its nine interlinked chalets which house the accommodation, restaurants, and spa. Located just a short 10 minute walk from the center of Megève (or a two minute drive), this beautiful hotel is set in 5 acres of pretty grounds and from the moment you pull up the drive, you feel like you are entering a very magical and special place.

This complex of nine chalets started life several centuries ago as farmhouses and were each painstakingly salvaged and meticulously re-built to create the 70-bedroom hotel in 1989 by Joseph Sibuet. Each and every stone, beam and antique is filled with history creating a unique and enchanting atmosphere, the very epitome of a luxury ski retreat.

Accommodation is made up of rooms and suites, with plenty of good options for families. The children will love the Hameau des Enfants, the on-site and very spacious kids club.

When it comes to dining, there is one on site restaurant, and those opting for half board can dine in a further three restaurants in the center of Megève. The comfortable bar area longs for you to snuggle up on one of the leather sofas and enjoy a drink or two and the library area is an ideal spot for those seeking a little peace and quiet.

Each morning the shuttle will deliver you to the slopes where the top-class skiing awaits. The resort caters particularly well for intermediates and families with younger children with gentle slopes. The tree-lined pistes offer good refuge on snowy days.

After a day on the slopes, the Pure Altitude Spa offers a world of respite with its extensive facilities including an indoor pool and 17 treatment rooms. Pure Altitude is now a brand of cosmetic treatment products that use plant extracts with active ingredients from over 50 mountain plants that have anti-oxidant and remineralising properties.

Megève is a very attractive village, very French, upmarket and glamorous. Its proximity to Geneva makes it ideal for anyone wanting to avoid a long transfer.
