Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Cambodia is hot all year round and the best time to visit is during the dry season, which runs from November to April. It starts to get wetter in May and the wettest months are September and October. It is still possible to visit during this time as rain usually falls as short sharp storms. November is a fantastic month to visit Cambodia as it is very green after the rainy season and the lakes and rivers are full of water.

Days 1-4: Siem Reap & Angkor Wat
Begin your vacation in Siem Reap, home to the mystical Angkor Archaeological Site and most famously, Angkor Wat. Your private guide will accompany you to the major temples such as the eerie faces of Bayon or overgrown Ta Prohm as well as helping you discover some of the lesser known temples in this vast complex, steering you well away from the tourist crowds. Come back and visit again for sunrise, to watch the imposing façade of Angkor Wat light up in the morning sun. In your free time, Siem Reap is a lively town filled with trendy boutiques, arty cafes and colorful markets, and is a great place to explore on foot.
Accommodation: Jaya House River Park (3 nights)
-
Days 4-6: Phnom Penh
After three action-packed nights in Siem Reap you can take a short flight down to Phnom Penh. Being the capital of Cambodia, there are lots of interesting sights such as the Royal Palace and National Museum. A visit to the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek and Tuol Sleng, a former high school that the Khmer Rouge turned into a center for interrogation and torture is also a must, to understand the tragic history of the Khmer Rouge regime that ended in the late 1970s.
Accommodation: La Rose Suites (2 nights)
-
Days 6-9: Kep, Cambodia
For your final three nights, retreat to the Cambodian coast for some time to relax in a gorgeous boutique property. Knai Bang Chatt is a guesthouse with a relaxed atmosphere and unobtrusive service that immediately makes guests feel at home. The coastline is rapidly evolving, yet Kep retains the charm of a traditional fishing village. Spend your days relaxing by the pool, taking a sailboat out, exploring the local markets or hiking in the national park.
