Musekese Camp

Small and intimate, Musekese Camp is a classically styled traditional tented camp open from May to the end of November. There are just four ‘Machaba’ tents, sleeping two people comfortably in each, all of which have superb views over the floodplain in front of camp. Tents are furnished with comfortable wooden beds and soft mattresses and the en-suite bathrooms are open-air while grass thatch keeps the elements at bay as you bathe under traditional bucket hung hot water showers.

The Musekese hosts are highly regarded as experts in the diverse wildlife haven of Kafue and while on safari you can be assured you will hardly see another soul. Walking safaris are the focus; however, Musekese Camp is well equipped with a boat for relaxing cruises along the Kafue River where guests could also do a spot of fishing. Game viewing hides have also been built by the camp, located in game rich and scenically attractive areas, these hides allow guests to go unnoticed and to see and experience wildlife like never before. A game vehicle is available, but due to the vast tracts of unexplored wilderness, the bush roads are limited, making it the perfect camp for those who are a little more adventurous. Alternatively, a full day game drive can be arranged to visit the Busanga Plains.
