Overlooking a beautiful crescent shaped white sand beach, safe for swimming and snorkeling, on Maui's sunnier side, the Four Seasons Maui is a full service luxury resort, with an air of relaxed elegance. The hotel is the perfect destination for a special honeymoon or for families with children of any age.
While the hotel is a big draw for A-list celebrities, especially during the Maui Film Festival in June, the attentive service will make everyone feel a star here. Little touches and attention to detail, from the welcome orchid lei to the twice-daily turndown, and a wide range of complimentary services and activities, set the Four Seasons Maui apart from most other Hawaiian properties.
The hotel’s 380 spacious rooms and suites, located in a U-shaped building fronting the ocean, are decorated in tones of blue, coral, and gold, with koa wood furniture, luxury bedding and deep soaking tubs with L'Occitane bath amenities. Each room has the facilities you might expect from a serious five-star property, and the outdoor terraces, nearly all with ocean views, are great for watching sunsets year round and, in winter, migrating humpback whales.
The Spa at Four Seasons is one of the island’s best, with 16 indoor treatment rooms and three outdoor thatched-roof hales with spectacular views of the Pacific, and the quality and diversity of treatments, from massages to body wraps and the amazing cocoon beds, is fabulous.
Dining is superb, and can either be open air, overlooking Wailea beach at Ferraro’s, which features Northern Italian cuisine; at Spago, a fun place great for cocktails surrounded by colorful wallpaper murals of giant sea anemones; or at Duo, a contemporary restaurant with an open kitchen concept which serves an outstanding breakfast buffet, and grilled steak and seafood in the evening.
The white sand beach is excellent and safe for swimming, and the beach concierge can arrange complimentary activities such as snorkeling, an outrigger canoe ride, kayaking and much more. Scuba diving (including PADI certification) can also be organized. Away from the beach, there are two lit tennis courts and a tennis clinic, a putting green, croquet, volleyball, and daily fitness classes.
The Four Seasons Maui is one of Hawaii’s most child-friendly resorts with a daily kids’ club available for children from 5-12 years. There's a complete activities program as well as other perks such as milk and cookies on arrival, kids' menus in all restaurants, infant gear and a games room.
If you can bear to drag yourself away, the nearby resort of Wailea offers three championship golf courses, an 11-court tennis center and high-end shops, and the resort’s complimentary shuttle will take you there and back.
