When arriving at this hotel you are greeted with beautiful views across the Aegean Sea and beyond to the Bodrum Peninsula. The modern hotel stretches across the hillside which allows for every room in the hotel to have a sea view. The rooms are large and modern and are the perfect place to relax in after a long-day at the beach. The resort has three beaches onsite and there is a fourth beach 5-minutes drive away. The main beach is perfect for sun bathing and enjoying drinks form the beach bar, the family beach is close to the outdoor kids club and has a perfect shallow entrance into the water which is great for kids and the third beach is setup for water sports. The hotel also boasts a huge spa with multiple different wet-areas, treatment rooms and an indoor heated pool. The hotel also has some of the most extensive fitness facilities I have ever seen in a hotel including spinning rooms, volleyball court, basketball court and numerous rooms with high-end gym equipment. For guests that want to get out and explore you can take a boat from the hotel over to Bodrum which takes about 45 minutes including the boat and taxi. Alternatively, you can visit the historical city of Iasos which is just 20 minutes drive away.

From the very moment that you enter the hotel you will feel at peace. The relaxing setting combined with the natural, neutral dcor welcomes you with open, calming arms. With even the entry level rooms feeling spacious and offering a wonderful sea view once you have started your stay, you will not want to leave.
If however you do wish to venture out then you can head to Bodrum by boat within an hour (and come back any time until 1am!) or visit the farmers market in Milas. The Kaplankaya area is being developed currently and over the next couple of years there will be other hotels joining the Six Senses therefore you can also find a central restaurant Anghinga which can be reached in around 8 minutes from the hotel.
The spa here is the largest in Europe yet amazingly this does not feel like a typical "spa hotel", and is still a perfect choice for families. You simply must take an afternoon to enjoy the extensive range of facilities, from jacuzzi to salt room - they have all facilities both for women and men. A traditional Turkish hammam is also a real must do when staying here. The staff are so attentive and wonderful, with nothing being too much trouble.
If like me, you do also like to indulge in the tasty local delights, there is no need to feel guilty as the facilities here are endless with a very well-equipped fitness center as well as an outdoor tennis courts, indoor basketball court, yoga, dance and spin classes.

Bodrum has been crying out for another five-star name to rival the established few and Six Senses will certainly do that. Its different, modern and contemporary in design you could be excused for thinking you were in a city hotel as you arrive into the large lobby area. This continues throughout the main building, but as you explore beyond the resort it reveals a very different side merging the amazing costal surroundings and rugged Aegean landscape. The three stunning beaches are a real highlight, particularly Kucuk Beach (meaning small in Turkish) which is ideal for families. The spa and fitness center are like nothing I have ever seen before in a hotel and those looking for something more than the average luxury hotel gym this certainly wont disappoint even the most avid fitness fanatic. Whilst the property is currently a little isolated, the arrival of a number of other well-known five-star brands into the Kaplankaya development will undoubtedly give guests more options to explore particularly into the promising Kaplankaya marina.

This hotel is one of the less Turkish feeling properties I have visited in the region. Its very modern and almost urban feeling in terms of the design of the buildings but the facilities tick every box. The whole resort is part of an ambitious local project that will see other big names arriving in the neighborhood in the coming years. Until then Six Senses is quite secluded but luckily it is large enough to satisfy guests on-resort entirely. The spa was undeniably impressive (as you would expect from Six Senses) and literally enormous, the largest in Europe. It caters well to families with children although in terms of rooming you would be better off away from the main building in a villa etc to get the best multi-bedroom space. As a parent, I really loved the little beach cove and could see how well it works for families with its calm water and well-shaded playground directly behind. If I was staying with my children I would be living between there and the indoor spa pool, where children are welcome with an adult (not always the case in spas so Im always pleased to see that). There are complimentary group activities every day.
