A unique cave hotel created from the restored ruins of an ancient village, carved deep into a cliff face, Museum Hotel is truly unique and overlooks a breathtaking landscape of rose-colored ravines, dramatic rock formations and the distant Mount Erciyes.

The stunning Museum Hotel, in Turkey’s Cappadocia, is as captivating as it is unique. Each atmospheric and historic guestroom and suite is completely different with many showcasing highly original features and priceless antiques, from textiles to spinning wheels. One room has a heated massage table while another offers local wine on tap, and one even has an antique tandoor oven – all objects hint at the room’s former use.   Rooms are exquisitely and richly furnished with local materials and some have extraordinary views.


Lil’a is the à la carte restaurant of Museum Hotel offering Anatolian cuisine and Cappadocia food culture paired with the assurances of Relais & Châteaux service.  There is also an excellent on-site spa.


Cooking lessons can be arranged, as can private breakfasts after hot air balloon rides, and massages in a hidden valley.  The hotel has an ecological garden within walking distance, and in the shadows of the fairy chimneys. Guests are welcome to explore it and to taste what grows there.
