Description
The 157 room Badrutt's Palace is a magnificent gothic-inspired five star hotel in Switzerland's most stylish winter resort, with spectacular views over the lake to the Swiss Alps. Badrutt's Palace prides itself on its impeccable staff and service.
A famous St Moritz landmark, Badrutt's Palace has been welcoming guests since 1896 and is situated in a picturesque, central location in six acres of private grounds with stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
The elegantly-decorated rooms and collection of suites are furnished with original antiques, whilst modern features such as wifi and flat screen TVs have been seamlessly incorporated. The suites and deluxe rooms boast stylish Italian marble bathrooms and most have private balconies with stunning views of the lake or the village and Engadine mountains.
This is a gourmet destination with seven restaurants that range from the gastronomic to an informal pizzeria. The 3 fantastic bars offer delicious and innovative cocktails and guests can mingle with the celebrities at the exclusive nightspot, the Kings Club. Or relax in the Palace Wellness and Fitness Club offering a range of professional treatments and sports facilities such as tennis, ice skating and curling.
Families are very welcome at Badrutt's Palace and the Palazzino Kids Club keeps children entertained all day long with fun and creative activities such as dog sledding, arts and crafts and dance classes.
Accommodation
The hotel has 157 rooms and 38 suites, all newly renovated with magnificent views of the St Moritz lake or the village and Engadine mountains. The suites and deluxe rooms boast stylish Italian marble bathrooms and most have private balconies. All rooms have telephone, flat-screen television, safe, refreshment bar, wireless internet access, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers.
Signature Lake Room with Balcony | These rooms are 35 - 45 square meters / 375-485 and have either a king or twin beds and en-suite marble bathroom with shower and/or bath tub. The rooms also have a private balcony which offer superb views of the lake and mountains. |
Palace Suite | The Palace Suites are 60-85 square meters / 645-860 square feet and have a bedroom with a king or twin beds, a separate living area and en-suite bathroom with a shower and/or bath tub. They also have a private balcony with beautiful lake views. |
Single Superior Room | The Single Superior Room are 20-25 square meters / 215-270 square feet and offer a queen or single size bed. Some rooms are additionally equipped with a bath tub. |
Childcare
Children are welcome and the Kids Club Palazzino caters for ages 3-12 years. Activities include arts and crafts, children's disco in the Kings club and dog sled excursions.
Facilities
There are seven restaurants offering a range of fantastic cuisine, 'Le Restaurant' serves a rich selection of International and French dishes in a classically decorated dining room and formal atmosphere. 'Le Relais' offers a more relaxed dining experience and looks out over the lake. The Chesa Veglia is a converted farmhouse on the grounds of the hotel which houses restaurants and bars. New for this season is the re-born Kings Club, now a new restaurant, bar and nightclub in collaboration with celebrated British chef, Jason Atherton.
There is also an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, solarium, hot tub, massage, beauty spa and fitness center and in-house ski rental. The Kings Club nightclub lives up to the legendary St Moritz nightlife.
Le Restaurant | Sophisticated gourmet restaurant serving specialties such as Pojarski with truffle cream sauce or Chateaubriand with béarnaise sauce. Open for breakfast or dinner. A jacket is required and a tie is recommended. |
Le Relais | This restaurant has stunning views of Lake St. Moritz and the mountains. Dress code is casual. Open for lunch only. |
La Diala | Family friendly restaurant with authentic design to create a warm and cosy atmosphere. Serving balance and nourishing food and also has a juice bar. Has a lovely sunny terrace with views of the mountains. Open from 10am - 8pm. |
La Coupole / Matsuhisa | The Japanese star chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa has opened his premier brand 'Matsuhisa'restaurant which is a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. Housed in the former tennis hall, the trendy interior has been designed by The Martin Brudnizki Desgin Studio in London and features a cocktail and sushi bar as well as options for private dining. Dress code is smart casual. Open for dinner only. |
Patrizier Stuben | Authentic style restaurant serving international as well as traditional cuisine in the Chesa Veglia farmhouse. Open for lunch and dinner. Dress code is smart casual. |

King’s Social House by Jason Atherton | Previously the oldest nightclub in Switzerland, King’s Club enjoyed the reputation as a legendary spot. However for the 18/19 season sees it re-born into a new restaurant, bar and nightclub in collaboration with celebrated British chef, Jason Atherton. |
Renaissance Bar & Davidoff Lounge | A traditional bar, especially good for cigar and whisky connoisseurs with signature cocktails. A jacket is required after 7.30pm. |

Activities
St Moritz is a world class ski resort with fantastic downhill and cross country runs. There is also a wide variety of additional activities available such as heli-skiing, torchlight skiing, dog sledding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice climbing, ice skating, snowshoe hiking and paragliding.
The Badrutt's Palace also has an outdoor sports area which is converted to a natural ice rink in winter.

A true 5 star experience is a stay at Badrutts Palace in St. Moritz. The Palace looks like something out of fairytale and from the moment you walk in the door every dream or wish is taken care of. The hotel has been a staple in St Moritz dating back to 1856 drawing celebrities from Alfred Hitchcock to Audrey Heprun.
The hotel is centrally located in the heart of town. Walk from the front entrance to the upscale shops and restaurants that line the streets of St. Moritz. There is really no need to leave the vicinity hotel as there are many options for dining. From fine grill specialties at Grill Chadafo, to the upscale pizza parlor Pizzeria Heuboden to Nobu Japanese fusion and the famed Kings Social House night club.
The spa facilities are top notch including a wonderful heated indoor/ outdoor pool that is perfect place to relax after a day of skiing.
All in all, Badrutt's Palace offers the top tier of luxury in one of the most spectacular settings in the Alps.

Badrutts Palace is one of the most famous landmarks in St Moritz, it is a gothic style hotel with some truly impressive features. From the moment that you get collected from the train station in one of the hotels Rolls-Royces, to waking up each morning with a fantastic view of the lake, the hotel is just full of wonderful surprises.
The hotel is located in the heart of St Moritz, with the many designer shops and restaurants on your door step. The slopes are accessed by a short drive, and the hotels very efficient driver service is on hand to get you there. One of the best things about the hotel is the number of things going on, from the extensive spa facilities, their own ice-skating rink and many restaurants, there is something new to try every day.
