Andalucia's cities are intoxicating and fascinating, packed with culture and breathtaking architecture, and boasting a history dating back centuries. Exploring Seville, Cordoba and Granada offers an insight into authentic Spain and its age-old traditions.

  1. Fly to Seville

  2. Days 1-4: Andalucia

The artistic and cultural capital of Andalucia, Seville is home to breath-taking architecture, flamenco dancing and a wealth of buzzing tapas bars. Spend three nights exploring the city from your base at Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza, a tranquil boutique hotel in the center of the city. To soak up the culture, visit Seville's fabulous Real Alcazar, a royal palace and UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing intricate Mudéjar architecture combined with Christian influences. The city's history is shown in the Real Alcazar's walls, which was originally built in 913 and enhanced with several renovations during the following centuries. Join a private guide in the evening to discover the city by night as you explore Seville’s vibrant tapas bars.

Accommodation: Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza (3 nights)

  3. Days 4-6: Andalucia

After spending three days enjoying the buzz of Seville, head to Cordoba, once the largest city in western Europe and the capital of Islamic Spain. Get lost in the winding streets of this medieval city, admiring its vibrant houses before visiting Cordoba's Mezquita - the city's stunning Mosque built in the 10th century – with your private guide. Regarded as one of the finest displays of Moorish architecture, the Mosque was converted to a Catholic cathedral in the 13th century, and this Christian monument now sits at the center of the building.

In Cordoba, spend two nights at Hospes Palacio del Bailio, a converted 18th century palace built over Roman remains, before continuing on to Granada.

Accommodation: Hospes Palacio del Bailío (2 nights)

  4. Days 6-8: Andalucia

The last outpost of the Spanish Moors in Iberia, Granada boasts a wealth of stunning Islamic architecture, most famously in the form of the Alhambra, the city's monumental Moorish palace nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Discover the beauty of Granada from Hospes Palacio de los Patos, where you'll spend two nights. After admiring the intricate architecture and understanding the fascinating history of the Alhambra with your knowledgeable private guide, explore the Arab quarter of Albaicin, with its winding alleyways, or pay a visit to the Capilla Real, the final resting place of Isabel I and Fernando II, the Catholic monarchs who ended the Islamic rule in Spain.
