Villa Canacati

With views up to the Puig de Maria monastery, Canacati enjoys a fantastic residential location right on the edge of Pollenca. Staying here, it's only a short walk to browse the winding streets, boutiques and cafés of this historic town, untouched by mass tourism. Each Sunday, there's the local market and on saint's days, you'll often find a festival in the main square. And not much further a field, there's a choice of some lovely sandy beaches and the rugged Tramantuna mountains, with their vineyards and stunning vistas.

Canacati is a large, newly renovated villa mixing contemporary and traditional design, set in lawns and well tended gardens, full of native plants. The focus is definitely the wide terrace and swimming pool with the mountain view. This is heated in May, June and September. Once installed here, it's quite hard to leave. There's an outdoor kitchen, from where your chef can prepare a snack, a cool drink or a long lunch, and there's a large covered dining area - perfect for al fresco dining. A separate glassed outbuilding to the side has cardio machines and table football for the more energetic, and there's table tennis on the terrace too. At night the terrace lights up, and together with the outdoor sound system, you're sure to have a relaxing evening.

The villa is on two levels, with the main living area on the ground floor, leading directly out onto the terrace. There are three bedrooms on this level, with the further three below, together with the good sized children's playroom with steps up onto the terrace. The double bedrooms on each level are both en-suite, whilst the other two bedrooms each share a shower room with large walk in showers. The rooms upstairs benefit from lots of natural light, whilst the windows on the lower level are slightly smaller.

Families with children of all ages love Canacati. Younger children can enjoy the playroom and child friendly pool which will keep them entertained for hours. Teenagers can explore Pollenca, whilst the separate gym is also an attraction. And with so much on the doorstep, it's an ideal base from which to discover this beautiful part of Mallorca.
