Day 1-4

The Kalahari

You’re met off the plane and whisked through OR Tambo by our VIP fast track service and over to Tswalu’s exclusive hangar in preparation for your charter flight to the Kalahari. Watch the landscape change and admire the stark beauty as you fly over South Africa’s arid Northern Cape. Exclusivity awaits from the moment you arrive, your private guide meeting you off the plane before you set off to unearth the treasures of the Kalahari wilderness. Expect the exceptional, where inspiration sparks from the very landscape; from the Michelin-starred chef who designs the menus to the lavish yet natural suites. Tswalu blends contemporary simplicity and elegance with a deep emphasis on conservation, boasting a meaningful safari like no other.
The wind is your only accompaniment as you look out over the sweeping plains from your suite’s spacious deck. A love letter to the reserve, each aspect of Tswalu is alive with attention to detail. Relish in the freedom of having your own private guide, where you set the pace. Feel the thrill as you track cheetah across the savannah in the early morning light, the dust settling as you walk. Catch a glimpse of the rare and elusive pangolin as they forage in the darkness on a night drive. For those that crave adventure, gallop across the plains on horseback or soar above the desert on Tswalu’s private helicopter, spotting the iconic black maned lions from the skies. Fall into the infinite as you sleep out under the endless blazing stars at the Malori sleep-out deck. The limit at Tswalu is your imagination.

Accommodation: Tswalu Kalahari Reserve ( 3 nights )
Day 4-7

Cape Town & the Western Cape

Leaving the desert behind, you fly directly to the Mother City on Tswalu’s charter plane, and on arrival are taken by private transfer to one of Cape Town’s most exclusive addresses. Watch as Table Mountain looms closer, defining the skyline all around, and the Atlantic Ocean glimmers beside you as you approach Ellerman House. Perched along the coastline of Cape Town’s most desirable neighborhood, Bantry Bay, this boutique hotel sets the benchmark for refined luxury, where the concierge team cater to your every whim. Sample carefully curated wines at one of South Africa’s most celebrated cellars or simply sink into serenity as the warm breeze cools your skin, as you recline by the heated pool, the cerulean Atlantic waters in the distance.
The haven of Ellerman House, with its exquisite style and service, can be hard to leave, but our handpicked experiences are sure to tempt. Explore the beauty of the Cape Peninsula on a bespoke and private tour where your interests lead the way. Perhaps the allure of Winelands calls, set off on a personally crafted excursion to taste the best of the Cape, stepping away from the ordinary. After a day’s exploration, it’s time to feast your senses at one of Cape Town’s sensational restaurants. Our experts will reserve you a table to experience the city’s exciting food scene. Watch the sun turn the mountains to gold from the terrace of Salsify, overlooking the almost intimidatingly beautiful Camps Bay, before indulging in an intoxicating fusion of the best locally sourced produce and the flair of the Test Kitchen’s celebrated chef. Whether you want to immerse yourself in history, walking in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela or relish in the lavish surrounds of Elleman House, Cape Town will delight from beginning to end.

Day 7-10

The Winelands

From Cape Town you will be transferred to Babylonstoren, the perfect boutique farm hotel located within vineyards and orchards in the Drakenstein Valley, between Franschoek and Stellenbosh. From Babylonstoren wander through the farm’s extensive fruit orchards and vineyards or accompany the duck herd as they wander through the farm harvesting snails. Alternatively borrow a bike and cycle through the vineyards, around the dams and koppie.
