Any time’s a good time to go to Singapore. Practically on the equator, Singapore is constantly warm (the temperature never drops below 20°C) and humid and gets fairly steady year-round rainfall. The wettest months are supposedly November to January, when it’s also a degree or two cooler, while the driest are supposedly May to July, but in reality there is little distinction between the seasons.

The grand, colonial Fullerton Hotel has been beautifully transformed from the old Singapore post office into a luxury iconic city hotel and has a prominent location on Singapore's river just a stone's throw from Boat Quay and the marina.
The Fullerton Hotel is a masterpiece of simplicity, comfort and elegance. Transformed from the Post Office building, which was built in 1928, its rich heritage and grand, colonial architecture make it stand out from the other high-rise hotels in the city. The hotel is in Singapore’s prime location in the heart of the Civic District and beside Boat Quay, offering beautiful views of the river and the many local restaurants along the promenade.
The rooms at The Fullerton are spacious with a contemporary edge, ranging from the Post Master rooms to the Governor Suite with elegant living room, dining room and kitchen and a veranda flanked by 20 foot Doric columns. With such a huge range of rooms and suites The Fullerton is sure to have a layout, view and style to suit all tastes.
Although it is centrally located and within easy reach of some of Singapore's top eateries, dining at The Fullerton is an experience in itself with several restaurants and bars to choose form including the Lighthouse Restaurant with its breathtaking views over the bay and the trendy Post Bar which still has the original ceiling and pillars from the original post office.
If you have seen enough of Singapore's endless attractions, it is easy to while away a few hours at the hotel's outdoor infinity swimming pool, luxury spa or state of the art gym. It is also worth noting that The Fullerton is home to a fascinating heritage gallery as well as a delicious and indulgent cake shop!
The Fullerton has 400 Courtyard, Quayside, Heritage, Esplanade Rooms and various Suites, all overlooking either the sunlit atrium courtyard or with balconies opening out to sweeping views of the city's skyline, river promenade or sea. Whichever room you choose, they all have stylishly chic furnishings and a fresh contemporary decor designed to reflect the historic nature of the building. All rooms have complimentary high speed internet connection.
The Fullerton welcomes children of any age to come and stay at the hotel. Many of the room types can inter-connect to accommodate families in comfort. The hotel can also provide babysitting services upon request if required.
The Fullerton has four restaurants; Jade for modern Chinese dishes, Town Restaurant with an a la carte menu and international buffet, Indian cuisine and more at the relaxed Courtyard and modern Italian at the stunning Lighthouse Restaurant. The Post Bar is one of Singapore's trendiest drinking spots and is not to be missed. There is also a gorgeous outdoor infinity swimming pool, state of the art gym and serene, luxurious spa with an array of massages and treatments.

In a superb location this is arguably one of the most iconic buildings in Singapore. The grand and colonial building is a powerful landmark against a modern city of strikingly contemporary architecture. As an older, larger hotel than its sister, The Fullerton Bay, it is definitely not as contemporary, but it has a kudos as the old Post Office that gives it a undeniable charm and character.

The historic Fullerton, which rivals Raffles in luxury and architecture, is regularly voted one of Asia's top hotels. Superb views in almost every direction include the Singapore River and historic district, the city skyline, and the harbor. Built in 1928 as the General Post Office, its location, immense size, and classical Doric columns are testament to its vital role in the colonial government. The restoration and hotel conversion have been done beautifully, with lofty, elegant public spaces and guest rooms cleverly arranged to fit the original structure. Rooms are oases of comfort, stylish and contemporary with flatscreen TVs, large desks, and Philippe Starck fittings in the enormous bathrooms. Facilities are excellent, too, with a state-of-the-art gym and spa and an infinity pool that overlooks the river. Standards of service are second to none. A range of restaurants offer fine dining, sophisticated bars, and a location that's perfect for exploring the city.
