Turkey has a comfortable year-round climate. Spring and autumn, from March to May and September to November respectively, are marked by mild to warm days and cool nights. The summer months from June through August provide warm to hot days and pleasant evenings. Winter falls from December through February and days are crisp and evenings can be cold. The year-round temperature range is 6°C to 15°C (January), 11°C to 21°C (April), 22°C to 34°C (July), 15°C to 27°C (October).
The Maldives has a tropical climate distinguished by two seasons, or monsoons: the dry northeast monsoon from December to March, and the wet southwestern monsoon from May to November, with more strong winds and rain. April is a transitional period noted for clear water and heat. The temperature remains remarkably consistent at around 30°C.
February to April is the hottest period and resorts are almost all operating at capacity during this period. Mid-December to early January comes at even more of a premium due to Christmas and New Year and prices are even higher. Easter and the Italian vacation week in August also attract peak prices at most resorts.
Storms are more likely from May to November, though it’s still warm, skies can be cloudy and the humidity is higher. This is the low season, with fewer people and lower prices, with the exception of August.

Days 1-4: Istanbul
Just a few hours flight from the UK, Istanbul is the perfect place to enjoy a spot of culture, a sprinkling of shopping and splash of vibrant city life. This vast city has a wealth of history marvelling back to the mighty Byzantine and Ottoman Empires.
We've included a guided walking tour through the historical Sultanahmet district where you'll find the iconic Blue Mosque, the impressive Hagia Sophia and the beautiful Topkapi Palace to name a few. We've also included a culinary tour where you'll get to sample some tasty treats such as Turkish delights and baclava before heading over to the famed spice market.
Of course, no visit to Istanbul would be complete without hitting up the Grand Bazaar- your expert guide will help you navigate the plehtora of stalls, introducing you to artisans who have homed their specialist craft, be that weaving, painting or ceramics. For something extra special, why not take a sunset cruise on a private yacht down the Bosphorus strait, which splits Istanbul between it's Asian and European sides.

Days 4-9: Maldives
Flying onwards from the metropolis of Istanbul you will land 9 hours later in an altogether different world where peace and tranquillity are unavoidable as you make your way to the tiny speck in the Indian Ocean you will call home for the next week.
COMO Maalifushi, an hours seaplane flight south of capital Male is one of our favorite Maldivian hideaways. Located in the remote Thaa Atoll it is the perfect place to decompress from the bustle of the 24/7 Istanbul. Here you will be able to reconnect with yourself on a choice of either the gentle lapping of the ocean in an over-water villa or the quiet seclusion of a beach villa, both settled by impossibly turquoise waters by day and a rich carpet of stars by night.
Dine in one of the three restaurants offering a plethora of international and local cuisine. Enjoy the torrent of colors beneath the ocean on the magnificent house reef, or, if you are lucky, snorkel with whale sharks by night. Maalifushi is a place so completely devoid of distractions you can truly reconnect with both your surroundings and eachother. A perfect end to an incredible trip.
