Laos by Helicopter

After breakfast your guide will transfer you to your private helicopter for the day. The helicopter then soars above That Luang and Patuxai in Vientiane, before heading out of the city and to the beautiful Nam Ngum Lake and Saysomboun Province, a secretive area home to the CIA’s Long Teng airbase.
About an hour into the journey, the mysterious Plain of Jars appears; this is arguably one of the most important prehistoric archaeological sites in southeast Asia with some of the jars dating back 2000 years.
You will then land to enjoy a unique picnic lunch, before continuing your journey north, crossing even more remote and gloriously green regions. This heavily bombed but picturesque landscape is dominated by karst stone mountains and populated exclusively by ethnic tribes.
The journey then concludes in Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the cultural capital of Laos.
