On the top floors of the flagship Ferragamo store at the foot of the Spanish Steps is the Portrait Roma, the newest in a string of chic city boutique hotels by Lungarno, the Ferragamo family’s hospitality concern.
The interior at Portrait Roma is elegant and rings of old-Hollywood glamour, from the silk curtains to the elevator. Each of the 14 studios comprises a bedroom, bathroom, living room and hidden kitchen area. Many of the rooms come with a little balcony overlooking the action on the streets below, and the hotel’s finest detail has to be the rooftop lounge, serving cocktails by the fireplace with a view of the Spanish Steps.
