In 1920 Adolf Hitler founded the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP) in Munich and gave Munich the honorific „Capital of the Movement.” It was also in Munich that Hitler's first putsch attempt failed in 1923, and in 1938 the Munich Agreement (which ceded the Sudetenland to Germany), was signed.
During the tour, you will gain insights into the role the city played in the rise of Hitler and his NS Party, as well as the Holocaust and the Allies’ post-war denazification program.
We will visit many of the places steeped in history, including Königsplatz, which was converted into a kind of Heroes' Square at Adolf Hitler's request. Among other things, we will see the former Führerbau, which once housed Hitler's personal office, the administration building and the remnants of the two "temples of honor", two temples for the so-called "blood witnesses" of the failed "Beer Hall Putsch"
