&Beyond Vira Vira is an innovative concept - both a luxury hotel and a hacienda, it aims to provide wholesome outdoor experiences and fresh and delicious produce to guests, whilst also providing a fascinating insight into how a traditional farm operates.

Created as a traditional hacienda, the rooms and suites are traditionally decorated with Chilean rugs and furnishings creating a warm and cosy atmosphere. Wooden-clad rooms and suites create the perfect accompaniment to the stunning natural surroundings on the banks of the Liucura River. We recommend the senior suites which have outdoor hot tubs, perfect for relaxing in with a glass of Chilean wine after a day of discovery and adventure.
Activities at Vira Vira are endless in either summer or winter; adventurers will relish the white-water rafting and kayaking down the rapids, while the more laid back can enjoy peaceful fly-fishing or drifting gently down the river in a little boat. There are also fantastic walking trails through the surrounding national parks with remarkable lookout points over. More recently the hotel has also added Heli Tours to its excursion offering, so guests can now be flown over the crater of the smoking volcano. In the winter months the area boasts skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and winter horse riding among its activities, all set out in front of a backdrop of Chile's snow-capped volcanoes for an utterly magical scene.
The hotel is made up of 20 rooms and suites which are traditionally decorated with Chilean rugs and whimsical local furnishings to create a cool and comforting bohemian vibe. The wood cladded rooms reflect the natural surroundings on the banks of the Liucura River to lend a true sense of belonging to the region. Vira Vira is located in a beautiful spot in Chile's lake district right on the banks of the Liucura River nestled in between 2 National Parks. It is by far the most luxurious spot in the Lake district and a fantastic place to explore the beautiful surroundings and enjoy the fabulous Relais & Chateaux food and outstanding service. I would say in general the hotel has a fairly peaceful, calm atmosphere so it naturally feels more tailored to older families and couples. I really would recommend doing the Haciendo tour the day you arrive at Vira Vira. It gives you a lovely introduction into the property, a chance to explore their beautiful gardens and wander through their seriously impressive vegetable, herb and fruit garden. They have a wonderful farm to fork approach and its great to see just how much of their food is grown right in their garden. You'll also have a chance to visit the dairy where they produce all their cheese.
