In the heart of Ontario's stunning Algonquin Provincial Park, Killarney Lodge offers a tranquil and scenic setting ideal for couples and families alike wishing to experience the outdoor lake front lifestyle in traditional rustic cabins
Highlights
A stay at Killarney Lodge is an opportunity to get far away from the world and reconnect with loved ones and nature in a beautiful and tranquil setting. Yet the lodge is easily accessible, less than 4 hours drive from Toronto yet a world away from city life.
Family built and owned since 1935, the welcome here is warm and friendly. Your hosts, Eric and Poppy will do everything they can to make your stay as memorable as possible. Although you are away from it all, meals (all included in your stay) are taken in the main dining room and a sociable occasion. With only 25 cabins you will soon see familiar faces to chat with over the days events.
If you want to spend time alone, this is also very easily achieved. Each cabin features a deck where you can sit out and enjoy the peace and tranquility, or take your canoe out on to the lake (each cabin comes with it's own canoe). Collect a packed lunch and head off on one of the many hiking trails that are available from the lodge and simply enjoy the park in all it's glory.
For families that want to stay and play together, Killarney Lodge is ideal. The cabins offer one or two bedrooms so plenty of space to spread out in to. There's no kids club or babysitting here, however, if you all want to enjoy the outdoors together, this is the perfect place.
For those that need to stay connected, this may not be for you. The lodge has no phones, TV, radios or internet access. Mobile phone reception can be patchy as well. A stay at Killarney Lodge is a return to simple pleasures in like, talking, reading, playing games and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.
Please note that you will find that there are bugs and insects in the park, especially during the Spring and early summer time, so insect repellent is recommended.
