Botswana’s winter is May to October when the weather is hot during the day (not stiflingly hot) and cold at night. Botswana's summer months (November to April) can be hot and humid and there is a chance of rain. Botswana has one rainy season which runs between mid-December and runs through to mid-March.

The Delta holds more water between late April and October, although this is the dry season, it takes a number of months for the water to trickle down from the Angolan highlands into the channels and lagoons of the Okavango.

Chitabe Lediba is the smaller sister camp of Chitabe. Set in the same concession, Lediba consists of just five Meru-style safari tents, built on raised decks, and all enjoying fantastic panoramic views of the Okavango landscapes.

The Chitabe Concession consists of a huge area of 28,000 hectares. It neighbors the Moremi Game Reserve in the south-east of the Okavango Delta. The concession is made up of some of the widest range of habitats known in the Okavango: flood plains, riverine forest, small rivers and watery channels, busy waterholes and open savannah. All these areas make the Chitabe Concession one of the richest, in both volume and diversity of wildlife, in Botswana.

There are just five spacious Meru-style tents, all raided on decks and with en-suite bathrooms with outdoor showers and panoramic Delta views. Two of the tents are family units, and all are nestled under broad shade trees, and linked by raised wooden pathways.

The dining area, lounge and pool are all notably spacious, large decks and lots of quiet corners to relax with a book during the day, or with a drink in the evening. All of the main areas, as with the tents, have a great vantage over the small lediba (waterhole) after which the camp is named and where wildlife come to drink.
