Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Offering warm temperatures throughout the year the Caribbean is a perfect year round destination. With an average of 9 hours sunshine a day the peak season runs from December through to April which is the dry season when you can expect very little rainfall. May to November are the slightly wetter months where you will find an increase in rainfall as the summer season goes on and with that some humidity, however the Summer months are still a great time to travel as the temperatures are hot and the rain tends to come in short heavy bursts but not all day long. The wettest months with the most humidity are September and October and these are the most probable months for hurricanes to occur in the region although many islands have not experienced hurricanes for a number of years. The average daily temperatures range from the mid-seventies in the winter months and mid-eighties in the summertime.

I absolutely loved the Inn! Its such a charming spot, with beautifully spacious rooms, nicely spread out across well maintained gardens. The beach here was one of my favorites too, lined with palm trees and hammocks, and a great place to watch the boats coming in.
Its a very peaceful setting, ideal for a relaxing break, and did seem to attract an older clientele. Perhaps not so well suited for younger couples wanting lots of atmosphere in the evening etc, but a great haven to escape to for some R and R.
Dinner takes place at the main restaurant up by reception, but Id recommend heading up there before the sun sets as the view is definitely photograph-worthy! It seems a shame not to be able to enjoy the view throughout dinner but do make sure you head up a bit earlier to see it in the light.
English Harbour itself hold most of Antiguas history, so take advantage of that by taking a trip up to Shirley Heights and exploring Nelsons Dockyard too. You can take a boat shuttle during the day, or take a taxi in the evening, but its definitely worth the trip.

Such a magical place to stay!
The resort is set in 19 acres of beautifully manicured and landscaped gardens, which you can see from reception and the Terrace Restaurant in the original house at the top of the resort. There is a shuttle bus in place to take you down to your accommodation and the beach.
With only 28 rooms including stylish Junior Suites and more traditional cottage style Beach Cabanas, the resort never feels overcrowded.
The Inn has its own white sandy beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as a private jetty. There is a great range of complimentary activities available including dinghy sailing, kayaking and snorkeling. Water-skiing, scuba diving and deep-sea fishing trips can be arranged, while those in search of relaxation can book treatments in the small spa.

The Inn at English Harbour is a great English colonial style property offering traditional style rooms and a great view from the main restaurant. The rooms are located in the gardens and the beach, a shuttle will take you to the top of the resort where you can take in those stunning views of Nelsons Dockyard.

The Inn at English Harbour has a true Colonial feel to it and that can be seen in the rooms. Beautiful gardens all perfectly manicured. The hotel has a sheltered beach and just around the corner from Nelson's Dockyard which you can take a boat shuttle to.
The location of the Inn is excellent for those wanting to explore the nearby area, with the close proximity to Shirley Heights, a good spot to go to on a Sunday night with local music playing and a great sunset!

This hotel oozes nostalgia, history is evident here, yet the resort still feels very current.
I love the boutique concept of the property and whilst the beach is small it is a wonderful bay with soft sands and clear waters. There is a boat shuttle service which travels round to Nelson's Dockyard and English Harbour which is a fun thing to do.
The rooms here very much reminded of some places I've traveled in Asia such as Raffles in Singapore in the colonial elegance style. I loved the grown up feel to the hotel and would send couples here who are looking for a quiet stay but with the ability to get out and explore easily too.

The Inn at English Harbour offers a relaxed and unpretentious vacation environment. It is a colonial, plantation style boutique hotel with beautiful rooms and beach cabanas right on the beach. There are only 4 beach cabanas and they do get booked up quickly, so plan ahead. To me, this hotel has a 'breath of fresh air' feeling!

I just loved the Inn at English Harbour, the rooms are so lovely very colonial in style, beautiful linens and dark woods. The beach is stunning and very picturesque with the boats in the bay. It had such a lovely atmosphere, and the proximity to Nelson's Dockyard and Shirley Heights is great for those who like to get out and about a bit more.

Set on a lovely small white sand beach just a stones through from Nelsons Dockyard, The Inn is a great choice for a couple or friends who like laid back luxury close to local restaurants and places of interest.
The Inn is set in two halves, the first up on the hill where you will find the fine dining restaurant and the actual pub of the inn. Down the hill you will find white washed Colonial buildings set amidst large lawns and pretty gardens, leading down to the pool and beach beyond. There are tennis courts should guests feel energetic as well as a sweet little tea house where you find a library and a couple of spa treatment rooms and a lovely outside patio where afternoon tea is served each day. The Inn is embracing its British heritage and does it well with a Caribbean twist.
The junior suites are set back in the gardens and boast dark wood furniture and fresh white linens as well as huge shaded balconies. Down by the beach there are just two smaller Beach Cabana rooms, compact with small bathrooms but the best position in the hotel, right on the white sands.
During the day you can laze in a hammock, swim in the pool or take the complimentary shuttle across English Harbour to Nelsons Dockyard. In the evening, enjoy the beach or fine dining restaurant or head back to the Dockyard for some local color.
This is probably the best option for couples who want to explore the island from a nicely central base.
