My yearning to see every part of the world started as a young child, when my Dad bought me a magazine subscription. The first issue had a passport, and the following issues featured a different country with a sticker stamp for the passport. The yearning to fill the pages never left, and at 18 I spread my wings to go live in Malawi.
Before the era of widespread WiFi, accompanied by a well-worn Lonely Planet, the year saw me collect the stamps of the surrounding countries, flying over Victoria Falls by microlight and rafting the roaring Zambezi river to name a few favorite memories. 54 countries and counting, applying prematurely for new passports remains my favorite hobby!

What's the most exciting wildlife sighting you’ve ever encountered?
Walking with rhinos with the Singita team in South Africa was the most exhilarating travel moment. Being mere metres away takes your breath away.

What do you still have to cross off your travel bucket list?
To do a hot air balloon on every continent. So far I have done: Atlas Mountains of Morocco, the pyramids of Teotihuacan Mexico and the countryside of Portugal.

What’s the most incredible natural phenomenon you have witnessed?
Snorkelling between the tectonic plates of Iceland, with the cobalt blue and buoyant waters, was incredible. The only place in the world you can do this!
