Day 1: Arrival and Arches National Park

Arrive in Moab via Canyonlands Field Airport, where you will be met by your driver-guide and chauffeured to your accommodations at Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa. Along the way, stop for a brief orientation excursion in Arches National Park. Take in breathtaking landscapes typical of this region of the United States as you hike the Windows Loop Trail; stand under the famed Delicate Arch, and wander in the Devil's Garden as you admire the vast array of red sandstone rock formations. Your guide will be on hand to lead the way and provide an informed historical perspective on the land and its wildlife. Arrive at the ranch in the late afternoon to check in to your well-appointed accommodations, then enjoy the evening to get settled at your leisure.

Day 2: Off The Beaten Path in Canyonlands National Park

Today, after breakfast, your expert guide will pick you up in a 4x4 Land Cruiser and take you to Canyonlands National Park for an off-road adventure. Visit Thelma & Louise Point, where the final scene of the movie was filmed.  Then, hike through secret caves and caverns that lie just beneath the White Rim Sandstone formation. Other highlights may include a visit to Goose Neck Overlook, Lathrop Canyon, Musselman Arch and for thrill-seekers, the infamous Shafer Trail, considered by many to be the most dangerous road in America. No need to worry though, as your guide is a local expert who has driven the road countless times before.  After your adventure conclude, find yourself at one of Canyonlands’ most incredible overlooks for a gourmet picnic lunch overlooking the canyons.

In the afternoon, dial up the excitement with a canyoneering adventure in an off-the-grid canyon known only to locals. Canyoneering is one of the most exciting ways to experience Canyonlands’ unique desert landscape, combining hikes, climbs and rappels down narrow slot canyons. Learn canyoneering techniques from your local expert guides, and cap off the experience with a 200ft guided rappel. Then, round out the day with a cool swim in a crystal-clear waterfall pool. Snacks, water and all your equipment is provided, just bring your thirst for adventure! Afterwards, be privately transferred back into town for an evening at your leisure.

    Days 3-4: Overnight Rafting Adventure

This morning, pack an overnight bag, as you will spend the following two days basking in the untouched wilderness surrounding Moab. After breakfast, meet your expert rafting guide and board a state-of-the-art inflatable whitewater boat to cut through Cataract Canyon, a section of the Colorado River that travels through the center of the Canyonlands. Take in the incredible views while lazily drifting along the upper river, as your guide points out the unique onshore flora and fauna. Pull up on a river bank and dine on a buffet-style picnic lunch, before heading downstream to enter the much anticipated whitewater rapids. In the evening, your guide will show you how to create a minimum-impact camping site before preparing your gourmet campfire dinner. The following morning, enjoy your coffee and hearty breakfast before heading out on a whitewater journey through 30 rapids! Take on legendary rapids like Big Drops, Mile Long, and Hell-to-Pay. After a thrilling journey on the river, head toward Hite Marina on Lake Powell. You then have three options; return to Moab by ground transportation, a 45 minute scenic flight, or have your personal vehicle shuttled to Hite for your arrival.

Day 5: Moab, The Off-Roading Mecca

Today, meet your guide and head to one of the various remote trails surrounding Moab, widely considered one of the premier off-roading destinations in the world. Saddle up and take a thrilling ride in a custom-built UTV, drawing on your guides expert knowledge of the region to plot a course suited to your interests and abilities.

The curvy, undulating sandy roads weave between sandstone towers, buttes, mesas, and into hidden canyons tucked away in this alien-like desert landscape. The difficulty among the different trails varies, but most options are easy to moderate, with the occasional rocky ledge or off-camber climb. After your adventure concludes, you will be dropped off at your hotel in the late afternoon,  where you are free to enjoy the rest of your day at leisure, and take advantage of your resort’s luxurious amenities.

    Day 6:  Departure

After breakfast, your private driver will be on hand to bring you to Canyonlands Field Airport to begin your journey home.
