Phinda Private Game Reserve
The thoughtful conservation and artful management of Phinda have turned what was once over-farmed and degraded land into one of the best places in South Africa to spot leopard and other big cats. Careful planning has reintroduced native plant life and Phinda now boasts seven separate ecosystems, from woodland to wetland and marshes to forest, with mountain ranges, rivers and pans.

This diverse ecosystem is home to an equal diversity of wildlife, and game drives, nature walks and bird watching introduce visitors to this extraordinary range, including the big five game and spectacular sightings of the elusive cheetah and rare black rhino.
