The Winelands are a wonderful year-round destination and enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate, somewhat like the South of France, which is what makes the area perfect for grape-growing. Summer is the reverse of the Northern hemisphere. The best season visit is September to March when it is hot, sunny and dry. From April to August it cools down with some rain.

The views from this gem on the side of the Franschhoek Pass are unbeatable, previously dismissed as a restaurant with rooms, La Petite Ferme is far from this. The restaurant is still there, and still producing the Never had a bad meal comments from Franschhoek veterans. The rooms are all beautifully finished, and provide a range of options for couples or families, no under 11s in the main section of the property but there are self-catered cottages where families with younger children can stay. While perched up the hill, LPF is only 5 minutes drive to the center of town, thats the beauty, nowhere is far from the action but LPF does feel somewhat above it all!!

For those looking for an exclusive experience, the Manor House is available to take as a whole, it can accommodate 8 and has it's own small lawn and private pool with great views.
