Your trip will start with a gentle cruise to the western shores of Lake Te Anau.
At the entry to the caves at Cavern House, your guide will teach you about this geological wonder before you head underground. On the tour of the caves you will learn more about their history.
For geologists, the caves are very young (around 12,000 years) and are still evolving. Yet you can witness a network of limestone passages filled with sculpted rock, whirlpools and a phenonmenal underground waterfall.
Delve further into the caves, where you will be taken by small boat into a silent grotto where the glowworms live. In the darkness, they produce a dazzling display that is out of this world and rare.
