Soneva Jani
  • Sister property of Soneva Fushi, this barefoot resort is the ultimate getaway, with some villas equipped with their own private slide straight into the ocean!

  • Sleep under the stars from the comfort of the master bedroom as each villa has a retractable roof.

  • The journey to Soneva Jani is an experience in itself; kick back and enjoy the flight as you fly over the surrounding atols to reach your retreat – the views are simply incredible.

  • Delight in a sweet treat from either the ice cream or chocolate room… or both!

Enveloped by the Medhufaru lagoon, Soneva Jani occupies a stunning location in the Noonu Atoll, and the pristine, crystal clear waters of the lagoon make for fantastic diving and wonderful ocean views. The resort is comprised of spacious villas that allow each guest a private and secluded experience in the utmost luxury.

The majority of villas are over-water and allow for direct access to the sparkling lagoon, however there are also Island Reserves which provide a real home-away-from home atmosphere. With a contemporary design and modern furnishings, all villas are stylish and highly comfortable, each offering several areas for lounging and dining. Relax on a catamaran net by your private pool, or take the slide straight into the lagoon from the upper floor after lunch on the roof terrace. These special touches ensure a unique stay at Soneva Jani, which has been thoughtfully designed with peace and tranquillity in mind. The standout feature of the water villas, however, is the retractable roof over the master bedroom, which can be drawn back in the evening for a truly one-of-a-kind stargazing experience.

Soneva Jani has a wide variety of dining facilities throughout the resort, with some unique and innovative options. From So Imaginative, the home of experimental gastronomy, to So Starstruck, a culinary experience in the resort's Observatory, Sonevi Jani provides a fantastic range of cuisines. Sit at the Chef's table with a handful of friends for a mystery menu, or watch as the Chef concocts lunch on the beach from ingredients he has managed to pick or catch.

Choose from staying in Chapter 1 Jetty - the original resort at Soneva Jani, or Chapter 2 - a jetty of overwater villas on the south of the island. staying in Chapter 2 provides you with a stay on the Soneva unlimited plan, inclusive of all your food, beverages and experiences from the Soneva Unlimited program.

The diving in the Maldives is outstanding, and Soneva Jani is no exception. The Soleni Dive Center offers small group lessons, and provides a knowledgeable insight into the wonderful marine life around the resort. Alternative water sports are also available, as well as activities on dry land such as cycling, nature walks and tennis. For a more relaxing experience, pay a visit to Cinema Paradiso, the resort's over-water 'silent cinema', where guests can sit back and enjoy a classic or contemporary film via high-quality headphones. Soneva Spa is the perfect addition to this haven, offering a range of holistic and traditional treatments using soothing, natural products.
