Fishing on the Lower Zambezi

Trophy Tiger Fish of up to 9kg have been recorded here in this exceptional sport and the waters surround Mvuu vary greatly from long sand beds, to shallow flood plains and deep rocky pools which provides the perfect habitat for many species such as Bream, Chessa, Nkupi and Vundu. A typical day's fishing here begins at dawn, with the boats and the guides ready to take you to the best spots along the river. If Tiger Fish are your quarry then a short stop to catch bait fish will be the first thing on the agenda. Morning sessions usually go on until about 10am when you will return to the camp for brunch. Afternoon sessions then begin at 3pm once the midday heat has cooled down and you can carry on until sunset when you can enjoy delicious sundowners whilst floating down the river.
