Housed in a renovated 19th century villa in the exclusive Bay of Paraggi, the Eight Hotel boasts a private sandy beach, glorious Mediterranean and sunset views, and an exclusive air. The light-filled interiors feature every shade of white complemented by marine hues, stylish Italian furnishings, clean lines and a tastefully pared back aesthetic.
With just 12 rooms and suites, the vibe is intimate and the service warm and attentive. Guests can choose a view of the shimmering blue sea or verdant Paraggi hills and amenities include Wi-Fi, climate control, flatscreen TV with Sky, minibar, safe and ensuite bathroom with premium bathing products, robes, slippers, and Dyson hairdryers. Entry level Studio Rooms are on the cozy side, while Standard Rooms offer more space. Families can book a Family Room, which have sea views, and can sleep up to two adults and two children.
For hideaway romance, the Deluxe Room features a private terrace with Jacuzzi overlooking the bay. Or for indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis, a tablet-controlled state-of-the-art home automation system and fabulous views, the Eight Suite can sleep two adults and a child. While the split-level Two Level Suite includes a large terrace with Jacuzzi equipped with a retractable HD TV and sleeps up to two adults and two children.
A Continental buffet breakfast is included in the room rate and is served at the beachside Eight Restaurant, which includes an elegant terrace for al fresco dining. Light lunches and gourmet dinners are available to be enjoyed against the backdrop of the dreamy views of the bay.
Guests have access to the hotel’s private beach, where a bar and restaurant service is also available. All accommodation guarantees two sun loungers and an umbrella. The property also offers a complimentary shuttle service to Portofino, which is a 5-minute drive along the coast.
Along with relaxing on the beach, guests can explore the lovely harbor and colorful buildings of Portofino and explore the spectacular Italian Riviera by car, train, or boat. Genoa Airport is 45-minutes away, while Santa Margherita Liguria Train Station is a 10-minute drive. One of the area’s main attractions, the colorful villages of Cinque Terre, set across steep terraces along the coastline, is around 90-minutes by train or car.
