Yuncheng

In the far southwest of Shanxi province lies Yuncheng, the perfect base for exploring the beautiful temples of the Yellow River basin. Visit the ancient Pujiu Temple in nearby Yongji with its wave like roof, explore Iron Bulls sculptures that are all that remain of a floating bridge and discover the vast Taoist temple of the Yongle Palace.

Yuncheng lies close to the border with Henan province in southern Shanxi. It is the gateway to explore the temples of Puzhou and Pujiu, with their intricate carved structures and lofty towers and the ancient Taoist palace of Yongle, with murals dating back to the 13th century Yuan Dynasty.
