Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Santiago is a year-round destination but the most pleasant months to visit are October to April. Although summer (November to April) is hot, breezes disperse the smog that shrouds the city for most of the year and there is lots of sunshine. Over winter (June to September) you’ll see the Andes wreathed in snow and can ski nearby, but the weather is chilly and rain can be an issue. Spring-like September is Chile's national independence month, and is full of activity.
To start planning your vacation to Hotel Cumbres Lastarria
The funky Cumbres Lastarria Hotel with its eye-catching white façade and striking geometric pattern is located in the hip neighborhood of Lastarria, full of bars, galleries and restaurants. This boutique style hotel has just 70 rooms and suites.
The contemporary décor continues throughout the inside of the hotel, giving it a fresh and vibrant feel. Guests can expect large open-plan rooms, stylish bathrooms, modern facilities and high-end amenities. The reception area is low-key and the general vibe is laid-back but the service is attentive and personalized.
Although the hotel is conveniently located within the foodie center of Santiago, it has two restaurants onsite that hold their own amongst the area’s other famed establishments. There is a casual tapas style bar on the ground floor whilst up on the top floor, the Punto Ocho Restaurant has a Mediterranean theme offering more refined dishes in a stylish setting with gorgeous views over the city skyline framed by the mountainous backdrop of the Andes.
Up on the top floor of the hotel you’ll also find a small swimming pool where you can cool off after a day’s sightseeing and grab a cool drink to watch the sunset. The hotel offers a fitness center and spa facilities as well.
The hotels central location makes it perfect for exploring the city’s highlights – you’ll find the pretty hilltop park of Santa Lucia (which offers stunning vistas) just around the corner, several museums, art galleries and the historical Plaza de Armas just eight blocks away.
