-
Located along one of the finest stretches of beach in Belize, the resort offers guests the chance to relax or head off on a variety of thrilling reef and rainforest adventures
-
There’s plenty of wildlife around as well…take the boardwalk over the nearby pond which is teeming with life including turtles, birds and even crocodiles…just be sure not to get too close to the water’s edge!
-
Fresh meets fusion at the hotel’s restaurant where every effort is made to source local ingredients and organic produce is grown in edible garden, which you are welcome to visit
With their own experienced Adventure Center, guests can discover the best of Belize whether on or off-shore. Upon arrival at the resort, head to the Adventure Center to curate your own schedule for the duration of your stay. Spend the entire time heading out to the reef on dives, choose to have some free time to relax by the pool or go fishing in crystal clear waters. Those not spending any time on their trip visiting inland Belize can organize day trips to Bocawina Rainforest Resort for zip-lining and waterfall rappelling, or take Mayan history tour to the magical ruins of Xunantunich.
Accommodation is colorful and traditionally Belize in style. Stay in your own private tree-house, raised 12ft above ground and surrounded by a variety of colorful fauna and fluttering hummingbirds. Those wanting to be steps away from the sand can opt for a beach front room, boasting wonderful sea views and spacious balconies.
Head to the Singanga restaurant to dine al fresco and enjoy delicious Belizean cuisine, made using the finest local ingredients and organic produce. Guests can also head out into town for other dining options if they wish to explore the Caribbean town by night. On Thursdays, the hotel hosts a cultural evening with local creole food which is an excellent way to discover traditional Belizean culture.
The resort grounds boast a 1000ft stretch of beautiful beach front and you can find plenty of hammocks and lounge chairs dotted around the shoreline. When you get too warm basking in the sunshine, stroll down to the water where you might be able to spot an orange star fish or Southern stingray. Anyone interested in the flora and fauna can take a walk through the coastal forest surroundings of the resort to spot Red Lored Parrots or discover the countless fruit trees found on the paths including cashew, mango and guava. What we love about Hamanasi is its proximity to both reef and rainforest, making it an excellent spot to enjoy the calm turquoise waters of the coast as well as thrilling jungle activities.
