  • A comfortable ship with classic décor and traditional furnishings that will transport you to a time gone by

  • A small expedition ship that allows a more intimate cruising experience

  • The wraparound deck on level 4 allows you to quickly move to the ships different sides, meaning you don't miss a glimpse of wildlife or spectacular views

With space for 114 passengers, the MV Spirit is a friendly, welcoming vessel which focuses on creating a true polar experience for all with an experienced crew of 72, onboard lectures and shore excursions. Balancing this with all-suite accommodation, a restaurant, outdoor bistro, bar and a number of lounges, library and small gym, the MV Sea Spirit offers comfortable voyages through Antarctica and the Arctic.

From the 20sq.m Superior Suites to the 43sq.m Owner’s Suite, the seven categories of accommodation on the MV Sea Spirit all feature exterior views, flat screen TVs and DVDs, ensuite bathrooms, hairdryers and internet access. Recently renovated, the suites are spacious, with a classic decor of heavy drapes, thick carpets and crisp white bed linens.

The open-seating dining room offers international cuisines and creates a convivial, social atmosphere that extends into the bar and Club Lounge where passengers come together to chat about the day’s sightings or shore excursions. Knowledgeable and passionate crew are often on hand to answer any questions, while the well-stocked library has a wealth of reference materials and polar texts.

An open-Bridge policy allows passengers to chat with the Captain and observe the frozen landscape from a privileged angle, while a focus on creating an authentic polar adventure continues in the state-of-the-art Presentation Lounge with informative lectures, briefings and social events. The ice-strengthened hull and set of retractable fin stabilizers ensures the smoothest sailing possible, while a fleet of ten Zodiacs bring passengers ashore on daily excursions.

Top tip:

“If you want to save on cost and are worried about your sea legs, opt for a Main Deck cabin. They offer lots of space and are low down in the ship so you feel the motion far less.”
