The state’s rainfall averages about 300cm annually and though it rains throughout the year, the heaviest rainfall generally occurs between October and January. At higher elevations the temperature is refreshingly cool, dropping to colder temperatures at night.

The Pullman is the best hotel option in Kuching if you're happy to spend that little bit extra. It is likely you will only be here for a night or two but being just 5 years old, the facilities here are up to scratch and the rooms and bathrooms modern and very clean. They have a large outdoor pool too which is very welcoming for a refreshing swim or some morning laps! Breakfast will also set you up for the day ahead with a large variety of hot and cold options from across the world, so make sure you don't miss it.

With the most stunning views over the city and a very grand entrance hall, this hotel most definitely exceeded all expectations. All of the bedrooms have river views, long bay windows and stunning spacious bathrooms. The hotel has a large pool, very inviting spa and gym facilities. Although the Hilton is closer to the river, I personally feel that the Pullman is slightly more up to date and has more to offer.
