Boracay has a tropical climate and is situated outside the typhoon belt. This means that it enjoys less rainfall than the rest of The Philippines. Generally, the dry season runs from November to May, with scattered showers between June and October. January is usually the coolest month, with temperatures averaging about 25°C, and May the hottest, with an average temperature of about 28°C.

One of the most exclusive hotels in The Philippines, the Shangri La Boracay comprises beautiful accommodation boasting breathtaking views, whilst offering an array of facilities from diving the pristine waters to exploring nature trails.
Situated on a secluded hillside on the northwest tip of Boracay Island, the luxurious Shangri-La boasts stunning views over the perfect turquoise waters and glistening white sands of Puka Shell Beach.
The elegant accommodation consists of rooms, suites or villas, all with a spacious balcony with a daybed and some with private pools. Indigenous materials such as Abaca weave rugs and accent lighting created with local capiz shells add a touch of Philippine flavor.
The hotel is certainly a beach front sanctuary boasting two secluded white sandy beaches, Punta Bunga and Banyugan Beach and offering a variety of water sports. The outdoor pool, is known to be one of the countries largest free-form pools and is set amidst lush landscaped gardens. You can simply relax at your idyllic hideaway or enjoy a variety of water sports from deep sea fishing to catamaran sailing.
The CHI Spa provides a relaxing menu of body massage and beauty treatments. It is located on a rocky peninsula looking out over a private bay, and is designed to be a sanctuary within the resort.
The cliff-top Sirena Restaurant serves fresh seafood dishes, whilst romantic Italian dinners can be enjoyed amongst the treetops at Rima Restaurant. A variety of world cuisines awaits you at the Vintana, while an al fresco dining experience welcomes you by the poolside at Cielo. Exotic cocktails and chill out tunes are to be enjoyed at Alon beach bar during the day and for amazing sunsets head to the cliff top Solana bar to really unwind.

Shangri La Boracay offers four restaurants serving fresh seafood to international cuisines, all located in beautiful different settings around the resort, from dining in the intimate tree tops to al fresco poolside dining.
