Here is where you can find some useful information about working in resort for Scott Dunn, what we do and what makes us tick differently from the rest.
Resort FAQs
WHEN CAN I APPLY FOR A WINTER JOB?
Our main recruitment for winter positions is from May until November. However, we are always interested in receiving applications during the winter season (November – April) as we sometimes have positions become available mid-season.
WHEN CAN I APPLY A SUMMER JOB?
Our main recruitment for summer positions is from January until May. However we are always interested in receiving applications during the summer months (March to November) as we sometimes have positions become available mid-season.
CAN I STILL APPLY IF I CAN’T START THE POSITION UNTIL LATER?
Yes you can. We do sometimes require staff to come and join us later in the season. In order to join our reserve list you would need to have been interviewed by us.
I ONLY HAVE A UK PASSPORT, CAN I STILL APPLY?
Unfortunately we can only accept applications from holders of EU passports or anyone with dual nationality of the countries we operate in. If you are in doubt then please contact us. Please note that we are unable to sponsor work visas.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I HAVE SENT MY APPLICATION?
If we feel you have the experience we are looking for then we will contact you to invite you for an interview. Please note, due to the high volume of interest in these exciting opportunities, only successful candidates will be contacted.
WILL I NEED TO HAVE A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND/POLICE CHECK?
All of our childcare team are required to have a criminal background or police check.
WHAT LENGTH ARE THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS?
For our winter positions, our teams will need to be available from mid November until the end of April/early May.
Our summer positions vary greatly in length and start date. Our Explorers clubs can start from March and some run until November.
DO I NEED TO LIVE IN THE ACCOMMODATION PROVIDED?
All of our accommodation is situated off-site away from the Explorers club. You will normally have to share with at least one other person. Most of our accommodation is equipped with a living area and kitchen and we will install internet wherever we are able, if it is not readily available. If you have your own accommodation you are not required to live in the accommodation provided by Scott Dunn.
Long Haul FAQs
WHEN CAN I APPLY FOR A LONG-HAUL JOB?
Our main recruitment for long haul positions is from July – October. However, depending on the position and resort, we sometimes have positions become available throughout the year.
CAN I STILL APPLY IF I CAN’T START THE POSITION UNTIL LATER?
Yes, you can. For the right candidate we may be able to discuss the start date.
I ONLY HAVE A UK PASSPORT, CAN I STILL APPLY?
Yes, we accept applications from UK passport holders for the long-haul positions. All applications must have at least 18 – 24 months valid on your passport.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I HAVE SENT MY APPLICATION?

WHAT LENGTH ARE THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS?
The contract lengths vary depending on position and resort. For long haul kids club assistants’ employment contracts are a minimum of six months and for management roles, employment contracts vary between 9 month – 2 years.
IS STAFF ACCOMMODATION PROVIDED
Yes, staff accommodation is provided as part of employment. Depending on the resort, accommodation is either located on-site or off-site in a nearby village to the hotel. If you have your own accommodation, you are not required to live in the accommodation provided.
