Located on Cape Yamu, a beautiful tropical peninsula on Phuket’s east coast, Point Yamu provides a retreat with a view. Its unique designs and artefacts dotted around the property make for a fascinating stay. Each item has a story to tell and a reason for being there.
There is a particular emphasis on wellness in regards to facilities whether it be sunrise yoga sessions or the calming lighting, a stay here is designed to help you relax. Of course, the attentive staff are on hand to cater to your every whim to ensure that relaxation is achieved.
All 79 rooms and suites and 27 private luxury villas take design inspiration from the cool blues and turquoises of the Andaman Sea, framed with floor to ceiling windows. Nearly every room benefits from a private terrace with mesmerising views across Phang Nga Bay or over the Cape, while the larger pool suites and private villas boast individual private swimming pools.
There are a number of dining options at Point Yamu, including delicately crafted Italian cuisine, heady and fragrant Thai dishes or for those looking to maximise energy and wellbeing a selection of healthy and utterly delicious COMO Shambhala menus. For those wanting to further their pampering body and mind, the spa offers holistic treatments alongside a yoga studio, steam rooms, Jacuzzi and fully equipped gym.
Although there is no beach at Point Yamu, the panoramic views from the resort make you feel like you are on a ship and more than make up for the lack of beach. Being away from the beach also means that it is much quieter than other areas of Phuket. However, the resort do provide a boat shuttle to a beach on a nearby island which is approximately 20-30 minutes away.
When to visit
Choose to stay in a pool suite so that you will have plenty of waterside relaxation spots to choose from between your own pool, the main pool and the beach which you do have to take a boat to get to so may not want to visit everyday.
