Half Day
After a briefing with your driver-guide, hop aboard your hovercraft and set off across the vast expanse of the Luleå Archipelago. The sea is frozen up to one metre deep during winter, offering the perfect opportunity to explore the furthest reaches of the archipelago, and the most exciting way to travel. The exact route and scenery changes depending on the conditions, but be sure to look out for huge icebergs, sometimes as tall as 10 metres. Once you've reached the outer reaches of the archipelago, stop at Brändöskär Island for a walk across the ice and pay a visit to the island's chapel which dates all the way back to 1774. You'll re-energise on the island with a light lunch and a hot drink before heading back to Pine Bay Lodge, keeping your eyes peeled for seals and sea eagles on the way.
