Sindabezi is a private island paradise nestled in the waters of the Zambezi River, upstream from the Victoria Falls. It is a luxurious bush camp on its own little island, with superb views over the surrounding river and plenty of activities on offer!
Highlights
Beautifully situated on a private island, remote and exclusive and perfect for honeymooners
Boat trips down the river at sunset are a particular highlight
Sindabezi's rooms are open and intimate, each with its own private deck
Visit the mighty Victoria Falls and take a walk across knife-edge bridge
Sindabezi is an idyllic, exclusive camp on a private island and is part of the Tongabezi group. From here the Victoria Falls can comfortably be explored and guests have a wealth of experiences and activities to choose from during the day only to return to a tranquil haven at night.
Sindabezi provides superb views over the flood plain and an opportunity to see wildlife in the surrounding national park. The unique design of the five tented chalets allows close-up encounters with all the sights and sounds of the river and the creatures who live in and around it.
From the south side of the island there is one chalet which has a wonderful view across the bubbling channels of the Zambezi River to the Victoria Falls National Park, where game such as elephant, impala and wildebeest come to quench their thirst on the banks of the river. At night guests can opt to enjoy the first round of sundowners in their large private bubble bath – with piping hot water courtesy of the state of the art solar heaters. On the northern banks of the island are two more chalets with solar heated showers, and distinctive ‘loos with a view’ set along private wooden walkways. Although the chalets are perfectly secluded, the island is also ideal for families or groups who would like to consider a private booking.
There is a stunning ‘Honeymoon’ chalet situated on a secluded sandy shore at the end of the island. The brand new, old fashioned claw-foot bath is perfect for two and solar panelling provides hot water and ambient bedside lighting. The entire Sindabezi Island is also romantically lit with traditional hurricane lamps and candles.
