From the exterior Forty 1 North with its white cedar cladding is designed to blend in with the prevalent Newport 18th century architecture however, the interior is minimal, sleek and contemporary and every nook and cranny of this 28 room hotel designed with the environment in mind. The guest rooms and suites which overlook the harbour or Thames Street are gorgeous - all grown-up blues and greys with Frette bedding, 40 inch LED TV screens, in room iPads and iPods and Malin + Goetz bath and spa products. The most sought after are the suites with their own balconies. The hotel also offers Cottages and Lofts across the road which are simpler in décor, but sleep up to 5 and come with a fully equipped kitchen so ideal for families.
