Rubondo is an island national park meaning guests have unprecedented access to explore the island to their heart's content. Activities include forest walks, canoe trips, wild chimpanzee trekking and fishing for the iconic Nile Perch fish. The island is a bird watcher's paradise with over 200 recorded endemic and migratory species inhabiting the island.
The camp is situated on the shores of Lake Victoria and has eight luxury bandas, all of which have a spectacular view over the lake. Each banda is constructed mainly from local materials and the rooms are spacious and comfortable with an en-suite bathroom and dressing room. One of these is a family room, accommodating four, and another is a honeymoon suite.
