You enter the wonderful property of Corral del Rey by an old Moorish studded wooden door, concealed down a tiny side street in the Barrio Alfalfa. Inside, a restored 17th century Casa Palacio greets you, just one of the three gracious buildings that have been combined to house the lobby, small dining area, lovely lounge complete with honesty bar, and 17 rooms of the hotel.
Corral del Rey is beautifully designed using original architectural features combined with contemporary chic interiors and modern technology, such as iPod docking stations and plasma satellite TVs.The open roof terrace, with a small plunge pool, is fantastic for relaxing, or gazing across the rooftops of Seville towards the Cathedral and Giralda.
There is a vast array of activities available to guests at Corral del Rey. Tour guides can take guests for half or full day excursions to places of interest in Seville and all over the region, including day trips to Cordoba, Jerez, or Cadiz. Meanwhile in the city a private yoga teacher, flamenco class or horse and cart trip can be arranged.
When to visit
In cooler months, take breakfast on the terrace at the top of the hotel, too hot for al fresco dining in the summer unfortunately!
