Located in the stunning surroundings of the bay at Barr al Jissah, this beach resort is a hugely popular option with families and built in a majestic Omani style and is set in 124 acres of landscaped gardens. It offers fantastic accommodation and facilities along with beautiful scenery and a large beach.
Throughout the resort, all rooms have private balconies, terraces or patios, and many have direct or partial sea-views. All spacious rooms are designed to reflect the enchanting Arabian spirit of traditional Oman, and feature artworks and imagery created by local artists. Amenities include complimentary broadband Internet access, flat screen TVs and DVD entertainment systems. Bathrooms feature baths, separate shower cubicles and Shangri La toiletries.
The resort complex comprises 15 restaurants and bars, a Chi Spa and large private beach. Facilities within the resort include two freshwater swimming pools, a fitness centre, tennis courts, a dive centre and a dedicated “Cool Zone” kids club.
Al Waha is the largest and most family friendly of the two hotels and is located closest to the Kids Club and children's pool. It is also the best option for those who require guaranteed interconnecting rooms. Al Bandar is also family friendly but is slightly more peaceful as it is situated further away from the specific children's facilities. The rooms are larger and the amenities are of a slightly higher standard.
