The Kempinski Aqaba has 200 rooms and suites, all of which overlook the Red Sea, due to the curved design of the hotel. The decor is clean and contemporary with a bit of a seaside feel, featuring lots of bright whites and blues.
There are a number of dining options, including AM/PM, the main restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner. The Walk is located along the beachfront offering food such as pizza as a lunchtime option. Seafood is served at Fish In, and Aqua Lounge and Sea Breeze are also quite informal. Black Pearl, the hotel's sports bar, is open until the early hours.
The hotel has a spa equipped with a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi, as well as treatment rooms for a range of beauty therapies and massages. Some local products are used, which contain Dead Sea mud and salt, as well as thalassotherapy. There is also a well-equipped gym and a great outdoor pool located just steps from the beach.
There are lots of watersports activities available, including jetskis and kayaks, and the Red Sea is one of the best places in the world for diving and snorkelling.
When to visit
Head into town for some local seafood. It is quite an easy walk and gives you a good opportunity to visit a Jordanian town.

Kempinski Aqaba is within walking distance of the city centre, where the cafes and shops are located, on the northern edge of the town. It is located on King Hussein Street on the banks of the Red Sea, facing west, with views over the Gulf of Aqaba and the Sinai Peninsula.
