All the rooms are equipped with original products made with the cooperation of local professionals so that you can experience Hida Takayama’s culture whilst here. You will be able to enjoy Hida sashiko embroidery, Hida woodworking, Shunkei-nuri lacquered items, and other crafts that were born in the local area added to a modern essence.
The hotel offers a wonderful choice of spacious rooms, influenced by Japanese aesthetic. There are two designs offering ‘modern’ and ‘classic’ styles. On the top floor, there is a special room for viewing the glorious northern alps. Most of the rooms are equipped with a washer-dryer and a kitchenette, giving you flexibility during your stay. The restaurant offers a buffet breakfast composed of Japanese and western cuisines, including Hoba-miso grill and dishes cooked from local ingredients, and dinner, including the Hida beef, a brand beef boasted by Hidatakayama, and local specialties of Hidatakayama.
Make the most of the traditional garden-like-hot-spring-baths whilst you are here with several types to choose at the hotel, the traditional Onsen offers rejuvenation to the mind and body. Purely Japanese-style baths where you can look out upon a Japanese garden while enjoying the refreshing scent and natural warmth of cypress wood. There are also private outdoor baths in an intimate space where you can enjoy some of the finest hot spring water on the 9th floor, the highest floor of the hotel. Whether it's after checking in or after strolling around town, take a quick break and dip your feet in the foot hot spring found here.
The hotel stands in a prime location for exploring Takayama and is just a two-minute walk to JR Takayama Station. Steeped in 17th century traditional architecture and culture, the enchanting riverside town of Takayama is located amid the beautiful scenery of the Japanese Alps. Isolated from the rest of the country, the town has retained much of its historic charm evident in the narrow lanes and well-preserved wooden houses of the old town, Sanmachi Street.
