Perched on a hilltop overlooking vineyards and the scenic, UNESCO-protected Langhe countryside, Relais San Maurizio boasts a history dating back to the 17th century. This Cisterian monastery, which dates back to 1619, has been transformed into a unique Relais & Chateaux property celebrating the surrounding nature.
The 36 rooms and suites have each been uniquely decorated, incorporating original features of the monastery and contemporary details. Thanks to the unique layout of the monastery and its historical buildings, each room is different, with some offering working fireplaces and others offering unique frescoed ceilings.
Relais San Maurizio puts a great emphasis on the surrounding nature and all it has to offer, and makes full use of the herb and organic vegetable gardens in the grounds. Local produce and ingredients are used in the restaurants, providing a true farm-to-table experience, particularly in the Michelin-starred Guido da Costigliole which has been attracting food enthusiasts to the area for over 50 years. For lighter, more casual fare, Relais San Maurizio also offers two bistrots celebrating local cuisine, as well as a wine cellar boasting over 2800 labels.
Alongside its cuisine, Relais San Maurizio is also celebrated for its wellness and medical spa, which provides a wide selection of therapies, ranging from relaxing massages and vinotherapy to medical treatments based on hydrotherapy. Feel the benefits of the Salt Cave, revitalise your skin with a white truffle facial or stretch tired muscles with a personal yoga class overlooking the vineyards.
